To achieve both, it is important to include the following in your discussion:
  • A clear definition of the project, task, or function 
  •  KPIs  and timelines 
  • available resources and the need for any special training, coaching
  • A specific description of the level of authority being delegated
  • A plan for follow-up and feedback
