Usually a major business plan include the following items 

May be printed or to be electronic as A PDF file 
You can add or remove any item according to your objective
And must entail the following 



  • Cover page and table of contents
  • Executive summary
  • Business description
  • Business environment analysis - Macroeconomic or macro factors ( country economy - inflation rate - interest rate - currency exchange price and policies )
  • Industry background - more specific factors and facts about industry and Market growth or decline for example .
  • Competitive analysis - Competition , new introduction and competitive edges internal and external .
  • Market analysis means specific market Segment analysis from total market .
  • Marketing plan
  • Operations plan
  • Management summary
  • Financial plan
  • Attachments and milestones.          Or Control tools  

  • The most important part of your plan is Formal executive summary  as your manager or decision maker in your organization  read only executive summary

    Planning modules and how to make a business plan in Diagrams

    there are many ways to set a clear business plan for a group or company or just a simple plan to execute any activity

    With the industrial revolution and then the twentieth century changes that was reflected on Size of Companies and with development of communication and transportation tools and emerging of multinational companies

    Need for planning increased and from just a simple plan for a wedding party to setting a 5 year plan for a major multinational company like Pfizer , Xerox or Michelin 
      ,
    Planning started by just a timetable containing 3 columns
    Timing , step and person or departement responsible
    This can apply in simple situations and dos not secure inclusion of all departments responsible in the operation as everyone has to wait others role accomplishment to start his role
    Some others make it more complicated and start to divide operation or task plan into other small projects or plans by minimizing tasks
    And from my experience business support department in many multinational companies here in Egypt for example use this module

    From my perspective
    Fish bone module prepared by Japanese entrepreneur Ishikawa is one of the best modules for planning even if it was designed and used in sixties of last century 


    Some called it Fishikawa



    It is really like a Fishbone  focus on process  with time scale which indicate  which process is ongoing during which period 
    Beautiful in Fishikawa that although it is very simple but you can increase bones and increase steps details sand steps as much as  complexity of  Project or operation 
    Very Suitable for CEOs and BU heads very suitable for example for a new product launch
    As you have many processes have to be ongoing on same time 
    Like registeration , evolution  product  , budget and training

    idescribe the assignment and get the employee's commitment to perform the task.

    -b really it is easier to do than to plan and educate and convince and monitor others but by time staff will have the opportunity to plan and organize task after task
